How frequently have I, with great difficulty, persuaded patients who were never off my doorstep to take up golf and how rarely, if ever, have I seen them in my consulting rooms again!” Dr. Alister MacKenzie
Whether a golfer or not a very warm welcome awaits you at the friendliest golf club in the south of England. From the elevated Clubhouse bar and terrace both non-golfers and golfers alike will appreciate the magnificent view of our stunning downland course which was designed nearly 100 years ago by the legendary architect of Augusta Golf Club - Alistair Mckenzie. The course rests in a bowl at the foot of the South Downs so not only is it protected from the harshest of weathers but tends to be open all year round given its amazing drainage.
Golfers wishing to join can consider our range of very attractive flexible membership options or, if only able to play occasionally, can take advantage of our special offers which are detailed on the website. For those wanting to learn or are interested in honing their golfing skills our golf professional - Dan Gale has a well deserved reputation for coaching new and experienced golfers of all abilities. He has a range of lessons packages to suit all pockets and also runs group clinics during the year for juniors, ladies and seniors.
As well as the stunning upstairs bar, the downstairs restaurant offers a wondersful venue for all manner of functions such as wedding receptions, parties, meetings and conferences.
